Kei cars (軽自動車/けいじどうしゃ), are a specific category of small vehicles that meet certain sizes, weights, and engine specifications in Japan, making them eligible for tax and insurance benefits.
Kei trucks are commonly used for various purposes, including agricultural work, construction, and transportation in urban areas. They are known for their compact size, fuel efficiency, and versatility. Kei trucks typically have small engine sizes, usually under 660cc, which contributes to their excellent fuel economy. Despite their small size, these trucks are designed to carry relatively heavy loads, making them practical for a wide range of tasks.
